80's Coming Of Age

For those who have not seen the two best John Hughes coming of age movies: The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles, run out to the nearest blockbuster and buy them BOTH!
Despite the fact these films were made in the 80's, the duality between the events in these movies and modern day teenage society is very similar.

Molly Ringwald in Sixteen Candles is your typical teenage girl who is struggling with boys, family and lets be honest here, her hormones.
The Breakfast Club is about 5 teenagers that bring something different to the table: a jock, a metalhead, a weirdo, a princess and a nerd. Each person represented your stereotypical cliques that would constantly bump heads but in the end has a beautiful outcome.
